ABOUT THE AUTHOR

Dylan Rees got into Doctor Who with its final season in 1989. As a child of the Wilderness Years, his Doctor Who was comic strips, original novels, audio plays and straight to video spin offs.

He is the author of Downtime: The Lost Years of Doctor Who, which looks at the dramatic output of Reeltime, BBV, Magic Bullet and others. Dylan also hosts the podcast Doctor Who: Too Hot For TV, which looks at the further adventures of the Doctor in books, audios, comic strips and anywhere else you might find the character.

Beyond the world of Doctor Who, Dylan is an Emmy award-winning producer working in film and TV. He produced Joy Wilkinson’s debut feature 7 Keys, and was series producer on the Channel 4 drama Suspect. He has also been line producer on numerous critically-acclaimed features, including Perfect 10, Blue Story, Pirates, County Lines and the BAFTA-winning After Love. On TV he was line producer on the Netflix YA hit drama Heartstopper (for which he won his Emmy), the Amazon film Your Christmas Or Mine 2, and the Channel 4 comedy Alice And Jack.
