Andrew Hook Signed to Criminal Pursuits …

NEW CRIME

David J Howe and Stephen James Walker are delighted to announce that rights have been picked up in two new modern ‘crime noir’ novels from author Andrew Hook.

Commissioning Editor for Telos, Sam Stone, said, ‘I knew immediately that Andrew’s series was perfect for the ‘Criminal Pursuits’ strand of Telos Moonrise. The novels are beautifully written, evocative and exciting. Crime noir with a modern twist, in an unspecified now. Mordent is a character we like and care about, his present, as well as his past, unfolds with poetic fluency.’

‘I’m very excited to have struck a two-book deal with Telos,’ said Andrew. ‘This is a great new imprint from such a long established company. This forward-thinking imprint is ideal for these books, and I’m looking forward to working with them over the coming months to establish my irascible PI, Mordent, as part of the noir crime firmament.’

The first of the books The Immortalists, introduces former cop turned P.I. Mordent and will be released will be released in 2014, with the second, Church of Wire thereafter.
