Telos Publishing is delighted to announce that we have signed Dylan Rees to pen the first official book reviewing the Doctor Who and cult tv output of Reeltime Pictures Ltd. With the enthusiastic agreement and support of Keith Barnfather of Reeltime, the book will cover the extensive ‘Myth Makers’ interview series as well as the many original documentaries and dramas the company has produced and released over the years. With exclusive access to the Reeltime archive, the book will feature comments from those who have worked on and appeared in the releases, as well as peeking behind the scenes to find out just how they were conceived and developed.
‘We’re pleased to be able to publish a proper and appropriate book about the work of Keith and Reeltime Pictures,’ said Telos’ David J Howe. ‘Keith has been tirelessly making these productions for over 35 years, and with his latest production, Sil and the Devil Seeds of Arodor winning THIRTY national and international film festival awards, the time seems right for a proper retrospective of his work.’
Keith is equally enthusiastic. “I’m absolutely delighted that my great friends Stephen and David at Telos have commissioned this book. I’ve wanted to catalogue and encapsulate Reeltime’s massive output for years, but never knew how. Dylan loves this side of Doctor Who lore and I know he’ll do a fantastic job of it!”
The book, which is currently untitled, will be developed and written by Dylan over the next year or so, and will be released sometime in 2021.
